Advancing Marine Technology: Hyrea's First Hydrogen-Powered Prototype Boat Field Test

We are excited to report the completion of the next phase of field tests of our hydrogen-powered prototype boat, marking a significant step towards demonstrating its capability to produce green hydrogen on-site and on-demand. This testing phase focused on installing necessary hydrogen equipment and testing its performance with commercially obtained hydrogen. In the next stage we will install HYREA’s hydrogen converter onboard the vessel, with produced hydrogen providing energy for the boat.

The two-hour field test validated the design of the boat and provided insights into performance metrics. Looking ahead, HYREA is on track to deliver the final prototype of the vessel later this year, showcasing its innovative technology for green hydrogen production.
